A CHIP OFF THE OL' BLOCK......

It was a wonderful feeling that I experienced last night, seeing our daughter Tamara performing center stage. I heard her sing out with authority and watched her precise movements on the guitar, and listened to her entire congregation uproar in delight with her performance.

This time her congregates were able to enjoy her musical talents, instead of her fantastic ministering entertainment that they are used to hearing during her Sunday sermons.

Although during my many visits to All Souls, there have been several times during those Sunday sermons, that I have listened to the same excitement coming from the pews, as I got the chance to witness last night.

Needless to say...the congregation love their minister and they were all excited to see her in somewhat of a different light. The songs were enlightening and the music was fabulous!

The accompaniment of Tamara's good friend, Jared Tyler, on guitar and vocals was outstanding.

Jared Tyler, a singer/songwriter from Tulsa, Oklahoma has been performing for 14 years all around the globe.

He has had the great honor of working with artists such as Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, Russ Titelman,Mary Kay Place, Malcolm Holcombe, David Wilcox, John Cowan, Suzi Ragsdale, Jellyroll Johnson, and Steve Ripley to name a few.

He has had the honor serving as the supporting act for great artists such as John Hammond, Jr., Merle Haggard, Wilco, Shelby Lynne, Nickel Creek, Keb' Mo', Blind Boys of Alabama, and many others.

And again I must say.....we had a wonderful time last night and well.....uh.....ummm.....I must say.....I did get some "bragging rights".

Yep.......she's a "Chip off the ol' Block...........and then some!

Tenkiller - far out! That had to be a blast. I remember Tamara playing them for us once.

Sorry we missed the deal last night. It has not been a good time for us catching music so far this year.
